The older children also took time to give God thanks. One child, helping plan Communal Prayer for Level III (3rd-6th grade), invited the children to each offer a prayer of thanks in place of a petition. Modeling her own prayer of thanks first, the child then handed a slip of paper around the circle so everyone could follow her lead:
Individual child: “I think you, Lord, for __________.”
Response from all: “We thank you, Lord, for everything you have done for us.”
Their litany included:

– Clothing
– Receiving First Communion
