Magnetism

Science sparks a child’s interest while simple curiosity ignites their exploration!
This month I read a book titled, Mickey’s Magnet in which a young boy accidentally spills his mothers sewing pins all over the floor. Mickey’s father gives him a horseshoe magnet for safe clean up of this sharp spill. It works wonderfully, Mickey continues to further explore other Magnetic forces around his home. In our Children’s House we began experiments with magnets that invited hands on learning and vocabulary enrichment with new words such as attract, repel forces, conduct, fields, dipoles, iron, nickel, magnetite and much more!
