Catechist (Level 1, 2, 3)
This position serves children pre-k through 6th grade in a Catholic Montessori environment. Background check and Archdiocesan Virtus® training required before start date.
Qualifications
The applicant must be a practicing Roman Catholic, faithful to the Holy Father and the Magesterium of the Church, who is actively engaged in growing closer to Our Lord.
Possess certification in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for all appropriate levels of the program.
Have an understanding of the Montessori philosophy of education.
Love children and desire to help them in their personal character, virtue, and faith development.
Be able to discipline children positively with gentleness, firmness, and consistency.
Be able to maintain strong relationships with parents; characterized by mutual respect, good will, and with the
understanding that parents are the primary educators of their children.
Maintain professionalism in speech, dress, action, and confidentiality.

Floating Assistant
Position Summary: Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular
employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and
supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Personal behavior must not violate the faith,
morals, or laws of the Church, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. It
is expected that all employees will respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and providing direct supervision of children ages 3-12 years, assisting the Guide in maintaining a community of respect in the classroom, observing the children as they work, preparing and cleaning the learning environment, and caring for classroom materials. The position hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM which include covering staff breaks and absences, recess supervision, lunch assistance and after care supervision. Assistants also attend all school events, conferences, and school meetings as required by Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Have or build an understanding of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and work with trained catechists in the faith formation of children. Trained catechists preferred.
- Have an understanding of the Montessori philosophy of education.
- Love God and desire to share their faith with others.
- Love children and desire to help them in their personal character, virtue, and faith development.
- Be able to discipline children positively with gentleness, firmness, and consistency.
- Be able to maintain a positive working relationship with other staff.
- Meet Rule 3 qualifications for assistants.
- Experience caring for children and/or degree in child development or related field.
- Maintain professionalism in speech, dress, action, and confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Sitting or standing in the same location for an extended period of time
• Repetitive motions related to keyboarding and other office procedures

Marketing and Development Director
Position Summary: Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular

is expected that all employees will respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. The
Marketing & Development Director is responsible for the overall planning, management, coordination,
and evaluation of the development, communications and constituent/ public relations programs of the
school- activities that create a supportive climate for enrollment and fundraising. This is all in
an effort to provide sufficient resources to insure the School can achieve its mission. The
Marketing & Development Director must be able to work closely with various constituents, parents,
school staff, and the Board while maintaining confidentiality related to donors, dollars and other
job related tasks.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Enrollment Management
• Responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the marketing and recruitment of students. This includes but is not limited to open houses, social media posts, brochure creation, etc.
• Working closely with key volunteers, coordinate the external and internal marketing efforts and initiatives that attract and retain students in sufficient numbers to support the programs of the school.
Development
• Responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of all fundraising and friend raising initiatives for the school.
• Plan, manage, and implement annual giving, major gifts, and events. This includes, but is not limited to: prospect identification and research, cultivation, solicitation, gift processing, acknowledgements and stewardship.
• Educate and engage key volunteers in implementing mission based fundraising.
• Works to create and support a culture of philanthropy within the school.
• Comply with best practices in handling donations and follow business office procedures for gifts received.
Communications
Responsible for setting and maintaining professional writing and design standards for school communications. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Oversee design and printing of publications including school newsletter/magazine, marketing materials, giving program brochures, and direct mail pieces.• Electronic communications including website, Facebook, and email.
• Manage media relations including advertising and press releases in local newspapers, local media coverage of school events and activities.
Constituent Relations
• Identify, recruit, and engage volunteers including: prospects, parents, alumni, grandparents, clergy students, faculty and administrative staff, etc.
• Volunteer planning and management
• Work closely with the school board committees, staff and volunteers to assist them in their activities
Operations
• Database planning: data acquisition and management
• Database management: oversee the management of databases as it relates to enrollment management and development, especially the updating and maintaining of the alumni database
• General office processes and procedures
• Other tasks as assigned by Head of School or Operations Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, communication, and/or volunteer management.
• Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic elementary education
• Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in developing and accomplishing organizational goals
• Ability to build a team, effectively recruiting and managing volunteers
• Superior communication skills, ability to conceptualize and execute strategic plans, the ability to interact confidentially and effectively with school staff, students, donors, trustees, school administration, the media and alumni
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the Internet
• Experience in a parochial or not-for-profit environment preferred.
• Availability to work evening and weekend events.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
